Doug, We want to send along our Christmas blessing to you and your family as well. You have been a blessing and we appreciate you. We thank God for the dream God put into your heart and know that as you walk out this dream you are really just walking out the plan God deposited into you while you were still in your mother's womb - a plan for his glory. 1 Peter 4:10-11 says "Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms...so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ." I have come to understand that God gifts every one of us in different ways for different purposes and those gifts are all sacred assignments from him. Just as sacred as if we were called to preach. The sacredness of the gift is not determined by its function but by the one who gave it and by how we use it. Why did God call some people into business, some into athletics, some into...? "so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ." God wants praise in every field of human endeavor. And to accomplish that, he must have his children involved in every field of endeavor. And not only involved in every field, excelling in every field. In the same way that I am thrilled to see Gabey kick a high shot into the far post and score, God gets praise from that. Can you imagine God getting as excited about that as a father would? He does. That's what this scripture means. He gets that same excitement, receives that same glory when he sees DMS grow and reach its goal. This is God's plan he put in you. You've had a great year and God is proud of you! God is shouting, YES! Keep up the good work. We believe in you. Looking forward to another year of growth at DMS. Warm Christmas wishes to you and your family. Tim & Christine Doug Miller Soccer has brought back the spark my daughter lost after playing travel in her home town. She has coaches that are coaching for the right reason and are a reflection of Doug's philosophy. You can always tell a good company by the person at the top.We are so happy to be a part of Doug Miller Soccer and look forward to a wonderful year of soccer!
been saying, "I really like our coach." "Our coach is great - I have
never had a coach like him before. He really wants each of us to do
well."
I wanted to say my thanks for already making this a good experience for
him. He loves the game (I mean loves to play!). I was hesitant to
let him sign up for (DMS) this year, but I can already see how much he
is loving it and how much fun he is having - so thank you!

Jim & Doug,
1/11/07 Doug, The girls and I all think your program is terrific and I feel good knowing I could play a small part in helping the program out. Jessica and Erika have a renewed passion for playing soccer since starting in your training program and I can see a tremendous improvement in their skills and confidence level on the field. Good luck with it. Paula

Doug,
I have nothing but good things to say about your academy.
My daughter Sam has fun every week and really looks forward to coming. She has been learning advanced skills and even more impressively has been putting then to use in games under pressure. Everything at the academy just seems to work. By that I mean all the drills have a logical progression and all the coaches relate to the kids very well. Even though this is the second year for my daughter, everything still seems fresh. I think a lot of this has to do with your personal involvement and your special way of teaching that I don't think you can get anywhere else.
Thanks!
Bob

Hi Doug - Some Good news for Mike. He was selected for the 1991 Indoor ODP yesterday. They picked 10 field players and all were very talented kids. He swears by your training so far and feels that you have made him better already. Hopefully you will be able to get him to that next level to make the 18 man outdoor team
Thanks Doug,

10/25/06 Doug Chris was the only Freshman pulled up to Varsity, we are very excited. He also tied the all time school record for most goals scored in a season, 26. Maybe he'll get one on varsity and can actually have the new record. We credit you for a lot of his scoring. abilities. Thank you for everything you do to enhance the kids skills and make them passionate about the game. See you soon. Jodi
YOU are the reason we decided to send our daughter to Doug Miller this season. All summer I watched 2 of your students excelling on the field and didn’t even know it. Quite honestly I had never had an interest in soccer at this level before recently. My first visit to What I saw last week was talented coaches coaching my daughter. How lucky my daughter (and all the Keep up the great work! Kim Powderly PS. The jacket is great, Michelle wears it everywhere!!

Doug,
I wanted to tell you that your Academy is one of the best run and most organized soccer training programs I have seen. Danielle has been playing soccer for many years, but in your academy she was exposed to techniques and skills she has never experienced before. I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism and knowledge that you and the rest of the coaching staff bring to this academy. I felt that your staff was highly efficient at presenting the finer points of a technique, in a way that was understandable, demanding, yet enjoyable regardless of each child’s individual skill level.
Over the thirty week program I watch not only my own daughter improve her ball handling skills but saw improvement in nearly every child involved in the program. Danielle and the rest of the kids in the program worked hard but always came and left your sessions with smiles on their faces. I believe that any child that is interested in taking their game and ball skills to the next level, this is the place to go to do it.
Thanks again,
Keith
Just had to let you know you would have been proud of both Madi and Kelly. They had their first game last night. They won their game 5 - 0. We were amazed at the strength and aggressiveness they showed. In a good way. Madi was on defense and had several opportunities to take the ball up the sideline. She did and they scored 3 times because she did. (OK, I'm a mom bragging a little), but this is not something she would even attempt last year.
Kelly was much more aggressive, going after balls that last year she would have waited for them to come to her. It was so much fun to watch them. The best part is when my husband told me that "the Doug Miller thing is paying off".
Sorry I'm rambling. See you this summer - Owen wants to do a camp too!!

I wanted to take a moment and let you know how much of a difference you have made in Kyle’s life. He has an auditory processing learning disability and he has struggled tremendously in school. As parents, we watched him lose self-confidence and every night turned into tears as we struggled with his homework. Last April we took him to a Dr. Mel Levine’s clinic in North Carolina. He specializes in different ways to teach kids so that they can learn. We took that information and searched for things in the Rochester area that could help him – that’s when I found out about the academy on the internet. I believed that the way you described the academy and the dartfish analysis would be great for him. We were not wrong. He has played in Brighton’s house soccer for years, and tried out for the U10 Brighton travel but did not make it. I thought it would devastate him, but instead he said, “Well, now I know what I have to do for next year.” He looks forward to going to TSE every Monday. It is the highlight of his week. I know it seems that he is not paying attention sometimes, but if you saw him one year ago, you would see the huge progress he has made (even in school!). Its just that he has to try much harder than other kids to understand what is being told to him. Reminding him to pay attention is good for him if he seems lost – he needs reinforcement to focus. We watched your video and I know some lightbulbs went off in his head.
So, thank you and your team for a wonderful program!

Hi Doug:
Thank you for recommending my daughter to your academy. She is a strong, aggressive player, but needed some polishing with her technical skills. She is making great progress in your academy. I think the progress is attributed to the way the skills are taught and reaffirmed throughout the hour. I would highly recommend this academy to any player who is committed to achieving better technical skills and becoming a better team player. Thanks again!

Doug,
Lauren has a great deal of respect and regard for you and the difference that it made this week alone was very evident, even to other people who watched a couple of her games and her RFC coach who's been trying to reach what he refers to as the real soccer player inside Lauren. Just thought you would enjoy a little feed back on the hard work that all of you are putting into the academy and the kids, Ben and Lauren are really getting a lot out of it. Thanks and have a great week.

Becca is greatly benefiting from your academy. Thanks to you and your staff's efforts with her skills and they are paying off. From primarily playing keeper position she has wanted to play the field more, having success in goal scoring. She currently leads the team in scoring goals in our current indoor league. In our last game she demonstrated a great turn, move and shot in goal. Textbook DMS!
I just wanted to send a quick note to thank you for the training that Marcus has been involved in on Wednesday's. A couple of weeks ago we got to see the results of all this training. He had a tournament and was able to use the skills that he has learned the past few months! It is quite a transformation from last year to now!
There is one spot that I am hoping that you still can help him with, that is a goal kick. He still doen't seem to get the ball in the air. If you can please just show him a little more detail on that we would sure appreciate it!
